F2A (speed)
Draw for flying order
-
6 minutes interval between two competitors on entry to the circle.
-
The draw shall be arranged so that two competitors from one nation are
not required to fly within 15 minutes of each other (which means 3
competitors between them).
-
After the draw has taken place, it will be split into three equal groups A, B and C.
For round one, the order of flight will be A B C
For round two, the order of flight will be B C A
For round three, the order of flight will be C A B
-
There will be a ten minute break every 12 competitors which means at the end of each hour of flying.

Reflights will take place at the end of the round (which means not at
the end of each group of flights) with the same order as the draw.
-
Competitors shall only be deemed to have cancelled their flight if they are not ready
to enter the circle at their official drawn time. This means that they will not be
penalised for failing to be ready to enter the circle earlier if gaps are appearing in
the drawn programme due to the failure to compete of other competitors. If a gap in the
draw occurs then the following competitor may move his flight forward only if he volunteers.
Official training (Thursday 13 July)

Draw per nation.

8 minutes for each competitor, which means a slot of:
32 minutes for a nation with 4 competitors (3 seniors and 1 junior)
24 minutes for a nation with 3 competitors
16 minutes for a nation with 2 competitors
8 minutes for a nation with 1 competitor
plus 8 minutes for the World Champion (junior and or senior) if he is
not member of his national team (training with the competitors of his
nation)

2 minutes interval between two nations on entry to the circle.
Official training during competition
Official circle will not be available for practice during breaks (even
during lunchtime). If the official circle is made available by the
organisers on free days and after the rounds it will be open (which
means not on a draw basis).

Individual classification
-
Considering for each competitor the best speed attained during the three flights.
In the case of a tie considering the result of the second best flight, and
after the result of the third flight.

Individual junior classification if at least five juniors participate from five
different nations.
Team classification
-
Adding the best speed attained by each competitor of the team. The
higher team is the first, etc...

If the team consists of four competitors (3 seniors and 1 junior) it
will considered the three best placed competitors of the team.
F2B (aerobatics)
Draw for flying order in qualifying flights
-
9 minutes interval between two competitors on entry to the circle.
-
There will be no arrangement of the draw, for example in order to avoid that
competitors of a same nation don't fly in the same group.
-
Option 1 : three equal groups A, B and C.
For qualifying flight 1, the order of flight will be A, B, C.
For qualifying 2, the order of flight will be A, B, C in the same
order of draw for each group.
Option 2 : four equal groups A, B ,C and D.
For qualifying flight 1, the order of flight will be A, B, C, D.
For qualifying 2, the order of flight will be B, A, D, C in the inverted
order of draw for each group.

There will be a ten minute break every 12 competitors and about one hour break
for lunch.
Draw for flying order in final flights

Final flights for the 15 highest scoring individuals, on the basis of
highest single score in the qualifying flights of both senior and junior
competitors.

9 minutes interval between two competitors on entry to the circle.

Each final flight will be arranged with a new draw. The three juniors
(except those placed in the overall top 15) will be drawn after the seniors.

There will be a ten minute break at the middle of each final flight
(which means every 9 competitors).

Remark: if necessary (too many competitors) some nations will have their

Second attempt immediately or after 30 minutes (equivalent to 4
competitors) have elapsed if the competitor leaves the circle.

Calibration flights
-
For the qualifying flights, two calibration flights will be flown before
the first flight of the day for each of the qualifying days .
Pilots of warm-up flights shall be determined by random among the
competitors. They have to be volunteer.
- For the final flights, two calibration flights will be flown before
the first flight of each day of final flights. Those flights will be
done by the 16th and 17th placed competitors (and so on if one of those
two pilots don't want to fly such a calibration flight).
Analysis of the scoring of the judges
No analysis of the scoring of the judges will be done and communicated
to the F2B judges and FAI Jury during the competition.
No reserve judges on the field.
Individual classification

For the non finalists according to the best flight score of the two
qualifying flights.
For the finalists according to the sum of
the two best flights scores of the three final flights.

Individual junior classification if at least five juniors participate from five different nations.
Team classification (referred to 1998 CIAM Plenary Meeting minutes)

Adding numerical placing of the three competitors of each team. Rank
according to the lowest numerical score to highest, with three complete
teams ahead of two team entries which in turn are ranked ahead of single
team entries.

If the team consists of four competitors (3 seniors and 1 junior) it
will considered the three best placed competitors of the team.
F2C (team-racing)
Draw for flying order
-
Twelve minutes interval between two heats on entry to the circle.
-
The draw will be arranged in such a way that, when possible, only one
team of any nation may participate in any eliminating race or semifinal.
Teams will be allowed to select pitting segments in the order in which
they were drawn to race.

All eliminating races with only two teams (for example if a team cancelled)
will be put at the end of the draw in order to allow a third team which is
granted an attempt. If necessary, a new draw for pitting segments will be
made under the responsability of the F2C Board of judges.

if she is not member of his national team (training with the
competitors of his nation)

2 minutes interval between two nations on entry to the circle.

Official training during competition will be organised on the official circle as follows:
5 minutes with two teams in the order of the draw before each
eliminating race and semifinal. In semifinals training will also be
allowed to the teams placed 13th to 16th places, as reserved teams.
5 minutes for each team before junior and senior finals in the order of
the times (first training for the best time).
Any team will be allowed to take off in the 5 minute training periods.
If the take-off is done after the 5 minutes, the team will be told to
cut the engine.
Official training during competition
The official circle will not be available for practice between the end
of the official training and the end of the round. If the official
circle is made available by the organisers after the end of each round
for further practice then this will be open (which means not on a draw
basis or with time limits applied but no more than three teams may
practice simultanously for safety reasons).

Each eliminating race will begin at 2 p.m. every day.

Eliminating race 1: day 1 (Friday 14 July)

Individual classification
-
The teams which have participated in the final race will be placed at
the head of the classification considering the times of the final.
The teams which have participated in the semifinals will be placed next
in order of classification only taking into account the times realised
during the semifinals. All teams not participating in the semifinals
will be classified according to their best time in any single
eliminating race.
There is a tie between two (or more) teams when their best time are
equal and also their second time (and so on in case of the eliminating
races).
Classification of any team that retired from any race (or exceeded the
official time limit) but was not disqualified shall be ranked according
to the number of laps completed.
A disqualified team is always placed after any team that has retired
without a disqualification. All disqualified teams are placed equal.
Nevertheless in the final race, if more than one team is disqualified
those teams are placed in the order of the number of laps completed.

Individual junior classification if at least five juniors participate
from five different nations. A specific junior final will be flown if,
at least, three juniors teams have recorded a time after the eliminating
races.
Team classification

Adding numerical placing of the three teams of each nation. Rank
according to the lowest numerical score to highest, with three complete
teams ahead of two teams entries which in turn are ranked ahead of
single team entries.

If the nation consists of four teams (3 seniors and 1 junior) it will
considered the three best placings.
F2D (combat)
Draw for flying order

The draw will be arranged in such a way that opponents are of a different nation.
-
When one competitor remains unmatched he will be "bye" and will be put first in the draw for the next round.

Individual classification

Classification according to the number of wins, not counting flyoff
bouts, with the flyoff bouts being used to establish second and third
place as necessary.

Individual junior classification if at least five juniors participate
from five different nations. A specific junior final tournament will be
organised if juniors are at the same placing (tie) in the general
tournament in order to define who is first, second and third for the
specific junior classification.
Team classification
-
Adding the "wins" scores, not counting flyoffs attained by each
competitor of the team. Rank according to highest numerical score to
lower, with three complete teams ahead of two team entries which in turn
are ranked ahead of single team entries.

If the team consists of four competitors (3 seniors and 1 junior) it
will considered the three best scores of the team.
